…this is the alternaview.

It’s about looking at life and everything around us from a different perspective. Why? Not to just be a contrarian (or to have something interesting to blog about), but really because we can learn so many things that will fundamentally change who we are just by looking at things differently. Life is filled with lessons and important things we should notice, but in order to make certain we are focusing on all of the right things, it is oftentimes necessary to look at things differently than we would normally.

Define the word alternaview

alternaview (n.)
1. A different perspective and viewpoint on situations and events.
2. A perspective beyond the obvious one that may have personal implications.

Who am I?

My name is Sibyl. I am a 34 year old mom, wife, business professional, avid reader, blogger, and dedicated University of Michigan fan. I created the alternaview because I have always been intrigued to look and analyze things from all different angles. Perhaps this can be attributed to my training in analytical reasoning (a more attractive way of saying I went to law school). For those of you who are turned off by attorneys, please don’t hold that against me. I am actually an attorney that works at a marketing firm (now, that may not make it any better, but at the very least it is somewhat interesting and requires an alternaview in and of itself). There really is something to be said though about analytical training, but that is a story for another day.
